Last week, we celebrated our gardening competition, Blooming Marvelous, with our tenants.
A large number of our tenants work hard every year and take pride in their gardens and communal spaces. At Jigsaw Group, we want to celebrate their work.
We understand the benefits of gardening and how time spent outside can help reduce depression, anxiety and stress. It also helps bring people together, with the benefits extending to the wider neighbourhood. With beautiful open spaces and community feel reinforced, our neighbourhoods are better places to live.
This year was the first we ran Blooming Marvelous as a Group-wide competition. Entries were received from across the Group and the judging was done through our Jigsaw Rewards scheme.
The winners were chosen from these three categories:
Best Community Garden – won by Boyer Court Garden Club in Maghull
Best Individual Garden – won by Agnieszka Widyka from Lancaster
Most Creative Small Space – won by Ann Crowe from Leigh
All three deserving winners were very happy and proud to have won their individual categories. Each winner received a trophy, certificate and £75 in vouchers.
Blooming Marvelous will return in early spring 2020 so residents have time to get their best pictures of their gardens and communal spaces looking beautiful – be it spring or summer.
