In winter 2023/2024, we ran a series of consultations where we asked our Jigsaw Rewards members to watch video updates from some of our senior managers and let us know their thoughts on our progress and priorities.
Across the various surveys, we received over 320 responses from our members. In each of the surveys, more than 90% of the participants said they felt our priorities were relevant and right. The feedback given on these surveys has shaped our updated Corporate Plan for 2024-2031. Here’s some examples of what that looks like:
You said: Some people in existing homes felt overlooked compared with new build properties.
We did: We are aware that over half of our homes will need major works (e.g. kitchen or bathroom upgrades) within the next five years, and we’re planning to spend £391 million on these works.
You said: People were supportive of our focus on being a sustainable organisation and to improve the energy efficiency of our homes.
We did: Our updated Corporate Plan includes plans for a pilot no-carbon housing development, and a new sustainability innovation fund, to support projects that may provide future solutions.
As it was the first time we had asked participants to watch videos and share their thoughts on them, we also took on board feedback on this type of survey format. In future videos for surveys, we will include an overview at a the start of the video and will try to address technical issues such as sound quality.
