You Said, We Did: Current Rent and Service Charger Collection Policy Review

We’ve been working hard to act on your feedback from our current rent and service charger collection policy review consultation last year.

Here’s what we’ve done:

You said: 96% of the people who answered the survey supported the objective of the existing policy.

We did:  We kept the same objectives in the new policy.

You said: A significant majority of people said they would prefer to receive communications about rent and arrears via email.

We did: We have introduced a monthly email covering various rent related topics such as Jigsaw’s Money Advice Service, support available from partner agencies, universal credit information and raising awareness that the current year has 53 rent weeks.

You said: Some people said that part of the policy was difficult to understand.

We did: We have re-worded this section to make it clearer.

You said: 66% of people said they knew about Jigsaw’s Money Advice Service.

We did:  We’ve been working hard to promote the service so even more people become aware of it.
