Residents at Jigsaw’s sheltered scheme William Ford in Hyde are being supported to socialise more post-Covid.
They have now created weekly ‘Cuppa with Cath’ afternoons as Cath, one of the residents at the scheme, makes tea and biscuits for everyone. They take part in general knowledge quizzes, crosswords and play a host of games together.
Tanuja Patel, Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer who came up with ideas for the residents said: “After a long time, residents are now all coming together in the communal room and doing various activities and getting on well together.
“Doing these kinds of activities keeps their brains active and they have all started to build trust in each other again where they are able to talk about anything.”
