Nottinghamshire residents were treated to a wild day out at the Attenborough Nature Reserve as part of a partnership between Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Team and Nottingham Wildlife Trust.
Residents from our Over 55’s schemes Foxhill Court, Moreland Court, Orchard Court and Rushcliffe Avenue in Carlton learned about the history of the nature reserve and the different wildlife species that inhabit it.
The two trips, which were organised by Jigsaw’s Neighbourhood Engagement Officer Martin Curtis, were part of a wider green social prescribing initiative aimed at offering residents the opportunity to visit different places to benefit their physical and mental well-being.
Foxhill Court residents passed on their thanks to the team for organising such a fantastic day and said they enjoyed being with the residents of Moreland and that the food provided was outstanding.
Resident Colin Harrison said: “Thank you so much for organising our trip out. I really enjoyed every minute of it and everything about it was wonderful.”
