The Jigsaw Foundation has awarded £13,500 to the Community Engagement Project at New Life Church in Ashton to support vulnerable residents in the community.
The project aims to assist local residents affected by the cost of living crisis by providing sessions to help improve their wellbeing and develop essential life skills.
Through our funding, it is expected a total of 200 vulnerable adults and 80 families are expected to benefit from the service.
Sessions include various children and family groups such as ‘Bouncing Babies’ classes and school holiday camps, while adults can also attend a ‘Breakfast and Feast’ club alongside an English conversation café and various support sessions.
The project even provides short training courses on a range of topics including food, nutrition, parenting and money maximisation.
