Supporting Affordable Homes for the North

Jigsaw’s executive management team joined consortium ‘Homes for the North’ to meet a prospective Labour MP at one of our developments in Wyre.

Brian Moran, Group Chief Executive, and Katie Marshall, Group Director of Development and People, met with Labour candidate Tom Calver and Bronwen Rapley, Chair of Homes for the North, at our Brockholes Crescent site in Poulton-Le-Fylde to discuss the importance of providing social housing in the area.

They also toured the development site and discussed the support necessary for Jigsaw Homes, and other housing associations, to deliver much needed affordable homes to Wyre.

The event was organised by Homes for the North, a consortium of 17 housing associations including Jigsaw, who want to provide more quality homes across the North of England to create economic growth, higher living standards, increased home ownership and stronger communities.

As a leading provider of housing in Fylde and Wyre, we are delivering around 880 homes altogether in this area.

The Brockholes Crescent development will see 106 new properties, including a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes available for affordable rent and Rent to Buy. The scheme is expected to be completed in 2026.

Bronwen Rapley, Chair of Homes for the North said: “This was a great opportunity to visit the Brockholes Crescent development and see how it will bring much needed homes to the local community of Wyre.  By meeting with Tom Calver, we had the opportunity to share our passion for more and better homes and Jigsaw provided an excellent example of how we do this at our best.”
