June is Pride month and colleagues from Jigsaw’s Bridges Partnership proudly attended Tameside Pride in Stalybridge last week and highlighted the vital work the service provides in the local community.

Last week, Jigsaw joined Tameside Council’s Adult Safeguarding Board (TASPB) to support World Elder Abuse Awareness Day which takes place each year on 15 June.

THE NEW Bridges partnership has launched in Tameside to provide support services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse and behaviour change programmes for those causing harm.

The 10th National Hoarding Awareness Week 2024 took place from 13 -17 May and Jigsaw’s teams helped to raise awareness, bust myths and reduce stigma associated with hoarding disorder.

Jigsaw Homes Group has once again joined forces with Tameside Adults Safeguarding Partnership Board (TASPB), Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and Ashton Pioneer Homes to take part in Hoarding Awareness Week (May 13 to 17).

A group of Tameside learners who have already completed the adult numeracy programme Multiply, have now also gained their Health and Social Care Level 1 qualification.

Residents at Reubens Court were visited by special guest Charlie the Beagle, a therapy dog, and his owner Joan, a volunteer for ‘Pets As Therapy’, for a wholesome day filled with lots of comfort and support.

Tameside Hoarders Helping Hoarders peer support group visited Bury Fire and Training Safety Centre to learn ways to protect themselves and reduce the risk of fire and other dangers.
