Budget Planning for Universal Credit claimants

The ‘Budget Planner’ from www.MoneyHelper.org.uk is a free online tool designed to help you manage your finances effectively. It allows you to:

  • Track income & expenses – Input your earnings and spending to get a clear picture of your finances.
  • Set financial goals – Plan for savings, debt repayment, or future expenses.
  • Get personalised tips – Receive tailored suggestions to improve your budget.
  • Identify savings opportunities – Find areas where you can cut costs.
  • It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. You can save your information and continue later if you need to.

Welfare benefit calculator

Our benefits calculator will help you find out what benefits you can claim. The calculator is free to use, and the details you provide are anonymous.

Benefit cap calculator →

The benefit cap limits the total amount of benefit you can get. It applies to most people aged 16 or over who have not reached State Pension age. This calculator gives an estimate of how much your benefit might be capped.
