The role Jigsaw plays in neighbourhood improvement activity is communicated to tenants using a variety of channels, including:
- Publications such as the Tenant Annual Report, quarterly email briefings from our Chief Executive, news stories in the local media and on our website, and new tenant sign-up packs. All of these are promoted using Facebook.
- Funding opportunities, including the Jigsaw Foundation and Neighbourhood Fund, which are promoted widely and specifically to local groups with a common interest in the improvement of their neighbourhood.
- In person through the work of our Neighbourhood teams who are active in our communities carrying out employment and skills training, helping with community pantries, facilitating warm hubs, organizing school holiday activities and many other things.
Jigsaw is an active participant in local partnerships in our major local authority areas, which include Tameside, Manchester, Chorley, Wigan and Leigh and Gedling.
We contribute to partnerships concerned with safeguarding, people with complex needs, community safety, counter-terrorism and domestic violence. If you would like us to participate in a partnership initiative in your area, please use the contact us function.
Jigsaw plays a vital role in helping local authorities discharge their housing responsibilities by entering into nominations agreements which guarantee councils that a certain proportion of lettings are made to people prioritized by the council. As an active developer of new housing, Jigsaw helps deliver local housing strategies across the north-west and east midlands.
