Rewarding our employees by paying a fair salary for the work they complete is important to us. That’s why we have committed to:-
- Paying our hourly paid employees national living wage rates
- Paying our apprentices national minimum wage rates based on their age from day one rather than the apprentice rate
- Automatic increments for salaried employees based on a five year structure.
All employees are entitled to 24 days annual leave per annum plus bank holidays, rising with extended service to a maximum of 29 days after five years service (based on a five day week).
Concessionary days provide extra paid time off, allowing employees to relax, recharge, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Employees are entitled to three concessionary days between the Christmas and New Year period.
To help all colleagues maintain the right work/life balance we offer a range of flexible working options throughout the business (role dependent) including flexible and compressed working and an option to work from home 50% of the time.
You will be automatically enrolled into the Social Housing Pension Scheme (SHPS) Defined Contribution (DC) Scheme.
Your contribution rate will be 3% of pensionable salary (which can be increased). Jigsaw Homes Group will also contribute 8% of pensionable salary.
Each year the company hosts its annual away day for Jigsaw colleagues, which includes a formal ceremony and presentation highlighting the Company’s achievements for the past year and acknowledging those who have gone above and beyond. All main offices close on this day.
We hold an annual Christmas Party and colleagues who choose to attend are entitled to the day off to enjoy an organised meal, drinks and the opportunity to socialise with other colleagues.
We offer Occupational Sick Pay upon completion of your probationary period which entitles you to an element of full/half pay during sick leave dependant on your service.
We offer generous enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption packages, along with Shared Parental Leave options.
Three of our main offices offer fully equipped on site gyms, changing rooms and showers for all colleagues.
We offer a Cycle to Work scheme via salary sacrifice to help the environment and your health.
We offer a range of courses for colleagues and publish a quarterly training calendar detailing all upcoming training to help our workforce consistently expand their knowledge.
This includes management training and Mental Health First Aider training with many more opportunities available.
Every year we run Wellbeing Weeks, where colleagues can book medical check ups with an NHS nurse to complete a basis health check along with specialist appointments for footcare.
We also run classes for Yoga along with sessions on speciality subjects such as the menopause and workshops regarding alcohol consumption.
Learning at Work Week is an opportunity for our colleagues to teach AND learn new skills.
Many colleagues from around the business offer to run sessions for others to help them learn a new skill or hobby, such as guitar playing, crocheting and flower arranging.
We offer Income Protection to the majority of our employees. Should a colleague be unable to work due to illness or injury, income protection covers you from day one of your employment, so you can receive up to 50% of your salary a month for up to 2 years (subject to medical evidence being submitted and a claim being agreed by our insurers.)
