Jigsaw has started its next phase of working to improve the energy efficiency of some of its homes.
It has set aside funds for these improvements as part of its sustainability strategy, alongside additional Government backing from Wave 2 of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, for around 220 homes across the North West.
Jigsaw is partnering with E.ON to manage the project and the energy firm has selected trusted contractor partners including Thrift Energy, Elite and UKPR who will carry out home assessments and final installations.
Eligible residents have now received details of how to arrange a home assessment, to understand what type of energy efficiency upgrades are needed- from wall, cavity and loft insulation to solar PV panels.
Upgrades available through this scheme could offer a range of benefits, including:
- Help to lower energy bills
- Improved energy efficiency
- Warmer winters and cooler summers
- Reduced noise for a quieter home
- Reduced condensation, mould and humidity.
